The first started with a balanced game, Norway took the lead, but Spain leveled the game at 3 – 3, than took the lead and never let the Norwegians to take it back during the first half.
The biggest difference was at 5- 10, Norwegian timeout solved some problems, and Mörk, Koren, Kristiansen scored to close the gap. Heidi Löke never had a worse day, she missed three clear chaces against Navarro, from the line.
Spain had a real leader in goalkeeper Silvia Navarro and Nerea Pena, netting seven times for Spanish side. In the match of defenses and goalkeepers, Spain leads by two against Norway before the break.
Half time: 10 -12.
The second part has brought a quick Norwegian equalizer, than Scandinavians took the lead at 16 -15, theam increased the lead, 17-15. Spain came back,, but Norwegians had all the time a slight advantage, 20-18, 22-20, than Bettina Riegelhutj increased the lead to three goals, 23-20 (46.min).
Emily Stang Sando steps in for Solberg and saves two penalties, in sharp situations, Koren steels a ball and scores on fastcounter, her little sister, Bettina put the ball behind Navarro from distance.
Spain managed to close the gap in the dying minutes, 26 – 25 (56.min), but Norway kept the advantage and the ball, Silje Solberg had some brilliant saves in the goal, Koren scored her ninth goal, 27-25.
Final result: 28 – 25
