Group I.

HC Leipzig  –  WHC Vardar SCBT 26 – 23 (13 – 10)

Topscorers: Karolina Kudlacz (HCL) 7 goals and Andrea Lekic (Vardar) 6 goals

Vardar seemed to have probllem in playing as a team, made too many mistakes and could not pass easily German goalkeeper, Katja Schülke. On the home side Kudlacz was a real leader of a young team, playing for each other with big ambition and motivation.

Dinamo Sinara  –  Buducnost Podgorica 18 – 25 (11 – 12)

Topscorers: Olga Akopian (Dinamo) 6 goals and Maida Mehmedovic –  Cristina Neagu (Buducnost) 6-6 goals

Last years runnerup had no problems in taking both points from Russia, Cristina Neagu it could still be called the brain of Montenegrins.

Krim Mercator –  Thüringer HC 23 – 26 (15 – 13)

Topscorers: Alja Koren (Krim ) 8 goals and Nadja Nadgornaja (THC) 7 goals

Herbert Müller’s team took the points from Ljubljana with a real teamwork. Goalkeeper Jana Krause had a superb day, and with this away victory they made a big step to the quarterfinals.
