On the first day of KEB-Cup the numerous spectators visiting the competition could see first the opening ceremony, where Böhn’s sister, Vigdis Böhn Sunde has spoken to the audience, than Gjövik’s handball coach, old friend of Karl Erik, Knut Befring held a speech and handed a gift to the organiser, Andreas Smeby.

Than we could watch a video about Karl Erik Böhn’s handball life and career, very touching and after this was held an one minute applause-break in memory of KEB (one minute of silence was not good enough, Karl Erik should have wished that such an arrangement starts with a party).

The event is sponsed by a significant number of local companies which made easier to organise the tournament.

The opening match was played between Hungarian Győri ETO KC and hometeam Runar Sandefjord.
