Hosts from TTH wa sin lead in the first half at 11-7, but Jan Leslie’s team managed to cloe the gap and finalize the first half with an equal reult, 12-12. Norwegian goalkeeper for TTH, Silje Solberg helped her team in the first thirty minutes and Sweish rightback/rightwinger Nathalie Hagman could not miss, meanwhile the Russian side was led by Ekaterina Ilina.
In the second part the first minutes were balanced, then the game turned in favour of Danes, hosts scoring lots of easy goals on fastbreaks, Solberg continued to impress in the goal, she saved more than half of the shoots directed to her goal and Nathalie Hagman continued the oneman show as well. Russians from Rostov seemed to lost the key to the match and maybe to winning the EHF Cup as well, since they lost at asignificant difference, 33-20.
