Official pressrelease from Győr informed us earlier today that Norwegian right back, earlier winner of European-, World- and Olympic gold medals, multiple Norwegian champion, Norwegian-Cup and CL-winner with Larvik HK, Linn Jørum Sulland has signed an one year contract with the club.
The 30 years old lefthanded player leaves Larvik HK, after she got quiet little playing time in the last two years. Sulland also had some injuries, knee, ankle, and was forced some periods to stay outside the handballcourt. She made it clear that she wishes to be a part of Norway’s team at the OG in Rio de Janeiro and wants to transfer to a team where she can play.
Today’s statement:
“I am very excited about the next season in Győr because this club is likely the world’s best organized handball club. Looking at the team, there are excellent players, and the team is absolute favorite to win next years’s CL.
“I am confident that I will be able to contribue.I look forward to move in July, to the first training sessions and meeting old friends. “-Sulland said about her transfer.
Larvik HK’s coach about Sulland leaving the club:
” We lose a good handballplayer, but is part of the life we are living. It was predictable that Linn will leave the club. She let us know last week.” – Tor Odvar Moen said.
