Women’s EHF Champions League – Group D: IK Savehof

Swedish champions are directly qualified to the group stages but they have to compete with a younger team this year, since they lost some quality players.

Ida Odén has retired, Jenny Alm and Filippa Idéhn moved to Denmark to play for Team Esbjerg, left wing Edijana Dafé signed for Köbenhavn Handball.

IK Savehof managed to bring some Scandinavians as reinforcement and promovated some junior players as well.

Coach Signell remains realistic when it comes to their goals for the season: “In domestic competitions we want to stay on top, but we know it will be tougher this year because of the losses.

“In the Champions League our objective is to go to the next round and then we will see.”
