Bernadett Bódi (HUN), rightwinger:

About the match

“It was like an opening match in every tournament, we wanted to show a good play, but we had some emotions as well.

The most important was to be able to adapt to the atmosphere of the championship, to the hall and court, to play together in sharp match-situations and to get a victory, with a well working play, which could give us more confidence for the next games and push the team even more to reach our goals.

About the opponent

” It is always more difficult to prepare against teams from outside Europe, we needed about fifteen minutes to be able to know them, to feel their play on the court, but we presented a really strong defense in the first half, and this decided the game already after the first part.

About next match, against Serbia

“We watched their game today against Montenegro, they managed to win a point surprisingly for me. We know them, they represent the Balcanic handball-culture, so it will be surely a tough game. A game which we want to win of course.

Szandra Szöllösi Zácsik (HUN), leftback:

About the game

“It was a typical opening match, we played with a lot of emotions, even if it was not a difficult game. We missed a lot of clear situations, but I hope that we are done with emotions before the next game and now we can concentrate only on our play.

About Serbia

” It is a good team, with a lot of energy and dynamic, it will be decisive how determined we will start the match against them, and the defense will also be crucial.

Zsuzsanna Tomori (HUN), leftback/rightback:

About the match

” I am satisfied with our defense in the first half and we managed to score some fast contra attacks goals. It was great that all of our players has got playing time today, and it’s encouraging that we managed to get a victory at such a big difference, which hopefully gives more confidence to the team before tomorrows game.

About Serbia, next opponent

” They’ve got today a surprisingly result against Montenegro, since everybody predicted that the two strongest teams in the group are Denmark and Montenegro. Despite this we could see today that Serbia was totally compeer opponent and every team should watch their back when meeting them.

“We have already analysed the Serbian play, we saw that they have some new playing system and they are managing it very well. Therefore tomorrow we have to change our defense in some way, to be able to stop them.

About goals of Hungarian team

” We want to qualify to the Main Round and even further, but we have to focus on every game in itself. The main goal is of course to be able to participate at the Olympics next year, all the team is fighting to reach this.

András Németh (HUN), headcoach:

” I am satisfied with the course of the game, we were well prepared for the encounter. The first half we showed a good defense and in the second half our attack worked very well.”

Sanaa Mohamed Riadh (TUN), headcoach

” We met today a really good team, with tall, strong players, with a good defense. We really had problems in the first half to score and this was the key of the match.

Last year we met also Hungary, than we manged to play a much closer game, but now we came here with a very young team, junior age, to get experience.

In the second half we changed on our tactic, played with two lineplayers, managed to getting better situations, but we started with a huge handicap form the first half.”

20151205_180345_HDRMouna Chebbah (TUN), playmaker:

About the game

” We started the game badly and this decided the match. We have a lot of young players and we, the experienced players has the duty here at World Championsips to show them the direction, how to play next time.

About her injury

“I got an injury when I throw the ball and hit my hand in Tomori’s head, I hope she’s OK too. My hand it hurts, but it needs of course medical examinations.

About the next match

” Today was disappointing, but we have to raise for tomorrow, to show that we are strong, and make a good match against Denmark.
