Hungary started in big style with Tomori scoring six times in the first ten minutes, then Zacsik has continued on the same way, the backcourt of Hungary seemed to work excellently and Éva Kiss was not easy to overcome either in the goal.
Serbians presented an agressive defense, Hungarians were hit and put onto the floor several times.
Evolution of the result: 4 – 9, 4 – 1o, 6 – 13, 10 – 16, 12 – 17.
Some strange decisions of referees changed the course of the game, Hungary got two players suspended for two minutes each, and Serbian managed to score twice as the result became 16-18 before the break.
In the second part Serbia stick to their opponent, and an exciting game was about to start, the two teams was chasing each other, Zácsik secured two goals lead for Hungary at 19 -21, than Hungary increased the lead to four, at 20-24.
Kiss saved a penalty once again, Bíró had some good moments as well, but the Serbian never gave up and fought for new chances, 23-25, goal by Zivkovic.
After a Hungarian TO the team of András Németh accelerated the play and scored several times, Tomori, Szucsánszki or Szamoránsky, 25-3o. Hungary managed to raise up after a weaker period when Serbia equalized at 18-18, due to a strong mentality, good defense and high class goalkeeper performance.
Final result: 26 – 32.
