With a fluent handball in attack, compact defense and outstanding goalkeeper play by Tess Wester Ducth team sailed through the first half, leading during all thirty minutes. Groot, Polman, Abbingh, Malestein or Broch were the main goalscorers for Holland , on the other side Kulwinska and Kudlacz found the way to the goal the most times.

Netherlands has continued the same path from the first half and never gave chance for Poland to come back in the game. Polish team reduced the gap as much as 4 goals (24-20), but the Oranje machine was working perfectly and nothing could stop them to cruise to their first World Championship final ever.
