An earlier transfer new which came out right after the World Championship in Denmark ended, was that Brazilian playmaker, Ana Paula Rodriguez Belo has signed with a Danish club.
The playmaker plays currently in CSM Bucuresti and after her contract ends in the Romanian club she will move to Denmark, to HC Odense. The club and Ana signed a two years agreement.
Another Brazilian player, the veteran goalkeeper, Chana Masson is also playing for HC Odense.
After Barbara Arenhart, Karoline De Souza, Mariane Costa and Deonise Fachinello (Nyköbing Falster), another Brazilian takes the way to Danish handball.
“We have worked hard over a longer period to be able to sign Ana Paula to Odense. We are proud and happy that Ana Paula has chosen to play for us the next two years. It is a breakthrough for HC Odense to retrieve a top player . At the same time her relationship to Chana meant also something, but also Odense as a city was important. We can offer a somewhat different culture both on the court and outside the hall than Bucuresti for example does”.-says Mark Jespersen, the clubs sports and economical manager.
At HC Odense Ana Paula Belo will be teammate beside Chana Masson, with earlier Danish international Kamilla Kristensen (Lineplayer),, Norwegian rightback Maja Jakobsen (European Champion in 2014), Swedish inernational leftback Maria Adler or earlier Dutch international Pearl van der Wissel.
