EHF Euro 2016 – Katowice: opening match predictions

I’m settled in in the presscentre, and there are hours before the first matches in the EHF European Championship starts. Katowice offers nice weather outside, and an arena prepared for some good matches.

15.01.16 16:00 hrs Croatia vs Belarus
First out are Belarus and Croatia. Croatia, one of the giants in european handball, but without some of their usual profiles. Belarus, probably the team that will be struggling most to get points in this group.
Prediction: Croatia

15.01.16 18:15 Iceland vs Norway
In the second match today we will get a nordic classig fight between vikings. They even got the same flag and colors combined. Norway and Iceland are always an interesting fight to watch. They give it all but still with a gentlemans manner. Iceland have an advantage on Norway, but Norway have improved a lot after they changed their head coach, got some new players in the squad and they can be the surprise in this group.
Even we think Norway can surprise, my money goes to Iceland.
Prediction: Iceland
