Krakow: Slawomir Szmal saves and win two points for Poland

The hosts Poland had a tough opening match against Serbia, but Slawomir Szmal saves a penalty with 40 seconds left on the clock and Poland hold on for the win.

This were just what Poland needed to get it going when they continue to play on their home arena with thousands of supporters backing them up in the stands.

Topscorers: Michael Jurecki (POL) 7 goals and Ivan Nikcevic and Petar Nenad (SRB) 7 goals each

Serbia plays again Sunday 18.15 hrs against France

Poland plays again Sunday 20.30 hrs against FYR Macedonia
