Győr: Bernadette Bódi out with knee injury for the rest of season

The injury caroussel continues for the Hungarian champions. another player is lost for this season, rightwing Bernadette Bódi has suffered a knee injury on Sunday in the  Champions League Main Round match against K Savehof in Partille, Sweden.

The rightwing has landed after a scoring situation from the rightwing, in the second half of the game and her foot slipped on the advertising surface inside the six meter area. She was not able to continue the game and the diagnosis after yesterday’s MRI examination has confirmed an ACL-injury. Bódi needs a surgery and a recovery period of least six months. Surgery will take place on next Thursday in Győr.

Győr had injury trouble in the last season, when Adrienne Orbán has suffered the same type of injury on the same court in Partille against Savehof, and she is struggeling with return since.

Than Eduarda Amorim has suffered an injury in November 2014, when Brazil played a preparation game, she is back on court from the beginning of this season.

Jelena Grubisic, was supposed to replace Katrine Lunde, pregnant that time, but in January 2015 her ACL has also been thorned.

Injuries had continued this season with Gabriella Tóth, Zsuzsanna Tomori and Anita Görbicz-the last two happened at the World Championship in the same match against Poland. Tóth is out since September, Tomori will lost this season, Görbicz has a partially thorned ligament, which takes two months.

The players could be injured because of overload of workouts, matches or wrong type of training, the floor in the arenas could also be a reason, bad luck may also play a role, but in the last one and half years this is the seventh player from the same club suffering a knee-injury….now is time for questions, analyzing the problems and take measures!!!!!!!!!!
