Krakow: dramatical Balcan encounter sent Serbia home

Topscorers: Dejan Manaskov (MKD) 10 goals and Zarko Sesum-Petar Nenadic (SRB) 7 goals each

A tense encounter has kept high the pressure in Tauron Arena, Krakow when FYR Macedonia and Serbia met to decide which team will make it to the Main Round.

Serbia needed a victory as their goal difference was not favourable in case of a draw. Lazarov and company should have qualify with a draw as well.

Exciting, tense game brought a close result during the match, Serbia leading 26 – 27 ten seconds before the final whistle had gone. Quick Macedonian timeout decided the winner as leftwinger Manaskov got the ball on the wing and scored on Darko Stanic- men of the match for a draw.

Final result: 27 – 27
