Mikkel Hansen and Henrik Toft Hansen had some fine combinations, Hungarian team was operating with Bence Bánhidi on the lineplayer position, getting many seven meters for Dujsebajev’s team.
Mikkel Hansen made his first really good game at EURO, leading his team wisely, Hungary seemed clueless in attack, therefore lost many balls and received fastbreak goals, giving Denmark a big advantage after first half, which ended 18 – 10.
In the second half Hungary showed a better start, Hornyák, Faluvégi or Nagy netted behind Landin and the defense seemed to work better, but Danes had more to offer, Christiansen or Mensah Larsen scored and Landin raised his saving efficiency, 23-16 – fifteen minutes before the end.
Hungary showed some fine skills, Faluvégi or Bodó i attack- but had no chance against a Danish team, really starting the EURO with this game.
Final result: 30 – 22
Best player of the match: Mikkel Hansen (DEN) -leftback
Denmark is qualified to the Main Round with four points, meanwhile Hungary arrives to Wroclav with zero points and hopes to be able to win other matches.
