Slovenian Vid Kavticnik spoke to Timeout Magazine right after the 21-25 loss to Germany. His team finished last in probably the toughest group of the tournament, but he had other reasons why his side wasn’t able to win today. “We played good defense, but our offense wasn’t good enough. We missed too many chances and you can’t win like this.” He wasn’t too happy about the back-court as well, asking: “How many goals did we score from 9 meters, four or five? The German defense was able to sit back and wait for us to shoot, but we just didn’t.” Now he’s looking forward to get home and relax a little bit, so he can calm down: “I will play with my kids and that should do the trick for me.”
