Denmark uses 7-goal run to beat Spain

EHF EURO 2016, Poland, Wroclaw

Hala Stulecia

Group 2

Spain – Denmark 23-27 (14-11)

Topscorers: Raul Entrerrios, Valero Rivera (4 each, Spain) and Michael Damgaard (6, Denmark)

Denmark used a 7-goal run midway through the second half to defeat Spain in Wroclaw, making it four wins in four games. However a berth in the semis is still not secured for the two-time European champion, because a six-goal loss to Germany on Wednesday would make sure the team will only finish third in the group in case the Spaniards will beat both Hungary and Russia in their two remaining games.

Best player of the match: Niklas Landin (Denmark)
