Nagy: “I’m proud how we came back today”

After a crushing defeat against Germany three days ago Hungary almost beat Spain today in Wroclaw and surely got the best out of the 2013 world champion also thanks to superb showing by veteran Laszlo Nagy, who looked much fitter than in the last game. His performance was outstanding anyway, as he scored nine times from nine shots and won the player of the match award.

“The award is not that important, it’s more important how we played today. After two tough games against Denmark and especially against Germany I’m very proud of my teammates. We showed a great reaction on the court and played well against one of the best teams in the world.” The Veszprem right-back added: “We have a young team and in games like this they can improve, get better and also learn from the experience.”
