Norway is protesting at EHF- Germany had too many players on court

The team of Norway and Norwegian Handball Federation has filed a protest to EHF because of a situation what happened in the last minute of the second extra time of five minutes: Germany had two players in yellow on the court, both the goalkeeper and one other field player in goalkeeper jersey were on the court at the same time. In these seconds also the match has been decided with a goal scored by Kai Haefner, 34-33.

” Both the manager and team leader have observed the situation from several angles, that Germany has made a mistake and uses two yellow players on the field. Based on this information, we have filed a protest regarding the final score. It shall we argue further until nine o’clock tomorrow morning. Now is the case in EHF’s hands”-  said the main leader in Handball Federation Heidi Tjugum to

“Norway has to file the written protest until tomorrow  morning at 9.00 then the disciplinary committee will analyse the case and decide the outfall before 12.00 o’clock tomorrow.”-says JJ Rowland, the chief of media at EHF.
