EHF EURO 2016, Poland, Wroclaw

Hala Stulecia

7th place match

Poland – Sweden 26-24 (12-12)

Topscorers: Przemysław Krajewski, Bartosz Konitz (5 each, Poland) and Lukas Nilsson (5, Sweden)

After the blow-out loss against Croatia two days ago Poland was back on track today beating Sweden for 7th place in the tournament. The hosts used mostly back-up players for the whole match, but pushed by a sell-out crowd in Wroclaw were able to hang on in a very defensive-minded game.

Best player of the match: Mikael Appelgren (Sweden)
