Wroclaw: France on the fifth place

Wroclaw, Centeniall Hall

France –  Denmark  29 – 26 (15 – 13)

Topscorers: Benoit Kounkoud (France)  8 goals and Peter Balling Christensen (Denmark) 7 goals

Two disappointed teams meet in this encounter, both big favourites to even win the gold here in Poland, but both sent out from the race by Norway and on the other hand Germany.

Hard French opening with 4-0, 5-1 against Denmark, both teams giving playing time for their younger players as well.

Denmark is playing themselves back into the match and after a whole halftime with scorings on both sides the result is 15-14 for Karabatic and company.

The second half has brought no turning point as France managed to win and get the fifth place against Denmark.

Final result: 29 – 26
