Reinkind: “We have taken big steps on the way to the top..”

Christian Berge (NOR) – head coach:

About the match

“It was a hard game for us, we were trailing in the first half and did not get on our highest level, but I am proud on my team. They fought for every inch.”

Erlend Mamelund (NOR) – centre back:

About the match:

“The game was tough and we did not perform on our top level. When ten minutes were left we were down by only one goal.

“Two suspensions against us in that period made it easy for Croatia. But we will be back and fight for medals in future, we are on the right way.”

Magnus Gullerud (NOR) – line player

About his feelings:

“We are of course very disappointed, but we are still proud of ourselves and our country for taking the next step”

“We didn’t dream of this before the championship began, which makes it a surprise. We are very happy to have come so far”

About the final 10 minutes of the game:

“It just wasn’t going our way. Their goalkeeper did a good job and their defence was really good. They made it tough for us and they also got some easy goals courtesy of our mistakes.”

Harald Reinkind (NOR) – right back

On his feelings:

“Right now we are very disappointed, but Croatia were the better team. In two weeks we might be happy about the fourth place”

“We have taken big steps and now we are on our way to the top. We are not quite there yet, but we are getting there. In a couple of years, we want to stand on the podium with the gold medals.”
