Everybody was expecting from Győr a mandatory win in tonights match, but young and ambitious Savehof team has not agreed on this and gave a real fight against Hungarians.

Savehof managed to stay close in twenty minutes, leading a period by two goals than chasing the draw. Swedish goalkeeper Johana Bundsen caused many problems for Győr-players, meanwhile on the other side, Kiss in Győr’s goal had a really bad day and the Swedish scorings were just flowing in. The defense of Ambros Martín’s team was not working very well today and many offensive mistakes gave chance to guests to score easy goals o fastbreaks.
The second half, specially the first ten minutes showed the real face of Győr, with a spotless defense and one goal scored by Savehof, Grimsbö performed great, Alstad, Groot, Kovacsics or Sulland made a better offensive play in this period and the difference increased to ten, 25-15, 26-16. Then followed a relaxed period from Győr, Savehof was eager to reduce and at 29-26 the match become interesting again.
Hungarian side netted three times in the last five minutes, winning the game and collecting another two points.

Ambros Martín, headcoach of Győr “We played today against a very good opponent, they took a victory last weekend also, so it was obvious from the beginning that we have to fight today if we want the two points.
” I cannot be satisfied with our defense today, but in such a long series of competition is not always easy to start the match perfectly. We have to keep on good work, and improve from game to game.
