Romanian side had arrived to Russia with an advantage of one goal and with the motivation to get into the Final Four. Russian side was convinced that one goal difference is just a slight deficit and on home-court they will be able to turn this result.
In the first half, guests were highly dominating the game, leading by three-four goals 4-8, 8-11 and before the break the result became 11-16.
Gulldén, Martin or Rodriguez are very important in the attack of CSM Bucuresti, meanwhile, Lunde was not so irresistible in the goal of Rostov and the Russian offence seemed to struggle under the pressure of this game.
The second half has brought bigger advantage for Romanian team, 11-18, but Rostov managed to reduce the gap to 17-21, 22-27 and made it close to the end when the score was 28-29.
Even with one goal victory CSM Bucuresti is the first team to qualify to the Final Four in Budapest.
