Both Poland, and surprisingly, Tunisia, qualified for the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in Gdansk yesterday. While Tunisia shocked a lack-luster Macedonian side by winning 32-26 (17-10), host Poland had no problems against underdog Chile, beating the South Americans by a final score of 35-27 (19-13). Today’s games of Poland against Tunisia and Macedonia against Chile have therefore become meaningless.

Statistics from Poland-Chile:

Poland: Lijewski 2, Bielecki 4/3, Rojewski 2, Wiśniewski 3, B. Jurecki 3, M. Jurecki 1, Masłowski 3, Syprzak 4, Daszek 4, Gierak 3, Szyba 5, Chrapkowski 1

Chile: Garcia 1, Ceballos 1, Er. Feuchtmann 6/2, Baeza 1, Reyes 4/1, Frelijj 1, Em. Feuchtmann 1, Maurin 6, E. Salinas 2, R. Salinas 1/1, H. Feuchtmann 1, Donoso 2
