As the officials of DKB Handball-Bundesliga side HSG Wetzlar were able to conclude their plans for next season, the fans of the club received a very good message today. Left-wing Maximilian Holst has signed a long-term contract extension and will stay with the team until the summer of 2020. His former deal was set to expire after the 2016/17 campaign.
Holst is one of Wetzlar’s key players and currently sits in second position in the league’s goal scoring race with 168 goals. “It’s phenomenal what Max has done so far this season, especially if you consider that he missed most of last year with an injury,” said manager Björn Seipp. “Obviously his performances made him interesting for other clubs as well. That’s why we’re very happy to announce his long-term commitment to our team.”
