
A jury formed of Swedish national team coaches Ola Lindgren and Staffan Olsson, and Swedish handball federation has voted the best player in Sweden, both on the male and female side.
Player of the Year in Sweden in men handball was elected Andreas Nilsson (Veszprem). He showed to be a key player of Sweden during EURO 2016 where Sweden managed to take a place in the Olympic qualifications and later to qualify to the OG in Rio. Nilsson also helped his club Veszprem to win the Hungarian League, Hungarian Cup and SEHA Ligue titles, and had a fantastic performance in the F4 in Cologne, where his team was close to win the trophy.
On the women side handball player of the year in Sweden is Nathalie Hagman (TTH).
