Pots ready for the VELUX EHF CL draw

The European Handball Federation announced the seedings for the VELUX EHF Champions League qualification and group stage draws. The top seeds in the main draw are German champions Rhein-Neckar Löwen and Hungarian CL-runner-ups Telekom Veszprém. Teams from the same country can’t face each other in the group, the only exceptions are the German teams as there are three from the country in the Groups AB. The qualification draw will be held in Vienna, Austria on Wednesday, 29 June, while Groups A, B, C and D of the main draw will be determined on Friday, 1 July in Glostrup, Denmark.

The pots for Groups A and B:
Pot 1: Telekom Veszprém (HUN), Rhein-Neckar Löwen (GER)
Pot 2: FC Barcelona-Lassa (ESP), Vive Tauron Kielce (POL)
Pot 3: Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), HC Vardar (MKD)
Pot 4: PPD Zagreb (CRO), Bjerringbro-Silkeborg (DEN)
Pot 5: Meshkov Brest (BLR), Orlen Wisla Plock (POL)
Pot 6: MOL-Pick Szeged (HUN), SG Flensburg Handewitt (GER)
Pot 7: Celje Pivovarna Lasko (SLO), Kadetten Schaffhausen (SUI)
Pot 8: IFK Kristianstad (SWE), THW Kiel (GER)

The pots for Groups C and D:
Pot 1: Naturhouse La Rioja (ESP), HBC Nantes (FRA)
Pot 2: HC Metalurg (MKD), Team Tvis Holstebro (DEN)
Pot 3: HC Motor Zaporozhye (UKR), Chekhovskie Medvedi (RUS)
Pot 4: Besiktas Mogaz HT (TUR), Montpellier Handball (FRA)
Pot 5: Dinamo Bucuresti (ROU), Elverum Handball (NOR)
Pot 6: Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2
