Thorir Hergeirsson.headcoach Norway, about Frafjord’s place in the squad:
” An overall assessment after the matches we played in Ulstein Cup shows that this is the best for the team.”
In addition Stine Skogrand will also travel to Rio and will live outside Olympic Park together with the reserve goalkeeper Silje Solberg. Skogrand (righwing, rightback) will be the so called P-player, ready to replace another player in the squad if necessary.

Frafjord did not play matches for Norway after the victorious Olympic final from London 2012, this was explained with lack of motivation and some serious shoulder and Achilles injuries. This season was the first since 2012 she has played fully out and she is injury-free.
The 30 years old lineplayer curently is a Larvik player and won earlier two Olympic gold with Norway and Thorir Hergeirsson charactherized her lately as “the second best lineplayer in Norway”.
Her comment about being a part of the squad: “It feels like I have never been away. I am home again!”
