Vardar HC got a new headcoach last week, Spaniard from the men team of  the club, David Davis took over the Macedonian star-team. Davis is well-known by the team as he worked earlier this year with the team, during the quarterfinals and Final4 he helped Indira Kastratovic and was part of the coaching team.

Vardar hosted the Russian champions, Astrahanochka having one victory against Leipzig from the first round and a young, ambitious team.

The match was a proof of the difference of level between the two teams as Vardar ran through the game and through the Russian rookies winning comfortable in front of own fans in Jane Sandanski Arena.

The only remarkable event of the game was the return to the court of playmaker Andrea Lekic after a longer injury period.
