The last match of Champions League group phase was played tonight in Bucharest, Romania between CSM Bucuresti and FC Midtjylland. The bet was high as the winner takes the points through to the Main Round as both teams are qualified to the next round – the fact was known already before the match.
The second match of title holder, CSM Bucuresti with the new head coach on the bench was played on home court in Sala Polivalenta and this was the second victory for Gulldén and company, after the victory in Rostov.
The Romanians made a clear game, giving no chance for their Danish opponents and showing their better side this time. In previous games they were struggeling a lot, losing twice against Győr and once in Denmark, so they needed badly this victory to not arrive pointless into the next round.
