Győri Audi ETO KC has officially announced that Kari Aalvik Grimsbö has signed a three-year contract with the club. The world class Norwegian’s contract would have expired in summer 2017 but the 31-year-old goalkeeper decided to stay in Hungary for another 3 years. Grimsbö was contracted by Győri Audi ETO in January 2015 when Jelena Grubisic suffered a serious knee injury and had to be replaced by the club.
Grimsbö said to the club’s official website that she is very happy to stay in Győr where she and her family feel well: “For me, the club’s goals are very important because I like to fight for the biggest goals possible. We have a great team in Győr and I am happy to stay for another three years. It is very important to me that I can play on the highest level with Audi ETO and I can prepare for the Olympic Games in 2020.”
