After the match between Spain and Germany, with the final score 20 – 20, players and coaches analysed the match and talked about their feelings:
Nerea Pena (ESP)-backplayer
” I am very happy because we managed to raise as a team after the last game lost against France. It was difficult after that match, but we know that we have to stay together as a team and focus all the way.
“Today we made a good first half again, then we did the same mistakes like against France two days ago, and our level of concentration weakened, but luckily we managed to come back and keep one point.
” We needed to prove ourselves that we are able to play better, and get this point.
Jorge Duenas (ESP) – head coach
“I am proud of my team as they managed to play a better game today and it was important to us to show the better face of us, even to ourselves.
“Not everything worked today, but two-three of the players showed a good performance and it seemed to be enough for this result.
“We have one more match here, every game with the national team is important, we stepped on this way before this tournament with new players in the team, and we need time to improve.
Clara Woltering (GER) – goalkeeper
“I am proud of my team because we showed again our fighting spirit today, and even if we were down after the first half and our performance was not as expected we managed to fight us back into the game, and I think that after all we won a point here.
Michael Biegler (GER) – head coach
“This was not a fantastic performance today from my team, we won a point, but we lost a player and I am very worried about Isabelle Klein who got injured during the game.
“We did not find our regular level in the first half as our defence was not aggressive enough and we did not play as fast as we wanted to. We could have won, we could have lost, so it is all OK.”
