Germany 2017: Pots confirmed

The European Handball Federation has published the pots for the draw of the qualification for the 23rd IHF Women’s World Championship in Germany 2017. Germany as hosts, Norway as defending champions and Netherlands, France and Denmark as semifinalists at this EURO are already qualified for the tournament.

Pot 1: Spain, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Montenegro, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Czech Republic
Pot 2: Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Belarus, Slovakia, Macedonia

Pot 1 teams will face Pot 2 teams in the qualification, the first leg will be played on 9-11 June 2017, and the second on 13-15 June 2017. The playoff pairings will be drawn on 17 December 2016 in Göteborg.
