After he retired in 2014, now he is back: On Friday he will play his first match for Germany for more than two years. Holger Glandorf arrived yesterday at the teamhotel in Rouen. He will be part of the team for today’s match against Croatia. Possible because of the ‘Late Entry’-rule, Coach Dagur Sigurdsson nominated the german right back-court player from Flensburg. He also replaced Rune Dahmke (Kiel) and nominated line player Hendrik Pekeler.

Rouen, Holger Glandorf arrived at the Novotel Rouen Sud.
Germany will fight for the first place in Group C against Croatia.
Wolff: “To be first in the Group will be very important. Not only to get the assumed easier opponent, also to avoid the travelling-stress.”
In case of finishing second in the group, Germany will travel to Montpellier, about 800 kilometers. If they will finish first, the will play the eight and a possible quarter final in Paris, only 150 kilometers away from Rouen.
Also back-court player Julius Kühn is looking forward to the match against Croatia: “We are now playing against croatia for the first place in our group. We want to win this match. Croatia have a younger team. I think they are physically really strong, but we are also very strong, too. Against Bealrus ist was really good, but if we want to win against Croatia, we have to play better.”
