Golden League: Norway still undefeated, Denmark without points

In the second day of the Golden league tournament in France, Russia defeated Denmark, Klavs Bruun Jørgensens team has still no points in this tournament, meanwhile in the second game of the day hosts met Norway and the Scandinavians left no doubt about the best team on the court.

Russia Denmark 34  – 30 (18 – 15)

Topscorers: Sudakova 6, Samokhina 5 (RUS) and Haugsted 10 (DEN)

Russia was again too strong for the young Danish side, which had problems in their defensive system, butmanaged to close the gap substantially at the end.

France –  Norway 23 – 30 (13 – 12)

Topscorers: Lacrabere (FRA) and Røsberg Jacobsen, Tomac (NOR)

France had good control on Norway in the first half and after a Norwegian lead at the start of the game, France led by Lacrabere took the match in their hands and went to pause with a minimal advantage, 13-12. In the second half Grimsbø replaced Solberg in the Norwegian goal and with some good saves and fast counter goals Norway took the lead and they never gave it away after that. The girls of Thorir Hergeirsson got the defense to work better in the second half and in the offensive play managed to have a better fluency in their play. Herrem, T.Mørk, M. Røsberg Jacobsen or V.Kristiansen were the main scorers, as Marta Tomac was the executor of the penalties. Silje Solberg had some important role in the last the minutes in the goal and Norway took off after 22-23 and won the game at 23-30.
