Qualification groups drawn for EHF EURO 2018

The drawing ceremony of the Qualification Groups for the Women’s EHF EURO 2018 was held in Paris on Friday. 28 teams got their place in 7 groups, they will fight for 15 places at the EHF EURO in France. Obviously, hosts France are already qualified for the event. The two best ranked teams from the groups as well as the best third ranked team will qualify for the European championship. The groups are the following.

Winner of Q1G1 (Finland, Faroe Islands, Greece)

Denmark
Czech Republic
Slovenia
Iceland

Group 6
Spain
Germany
Turkey
Lithuania

Group 7
Netherlands
Hungary
Belarus
Winner of Q1G2 (Israel, Kosovo, Georgia)

Scheduled playing times:
1st and 2nd round: 27.09 – 01.10.2017
3rd and 4th round: 21 – 25.03.2018
5th and 6th round: 30.05 – 03.06.2018
