The match of defenses, the match of mental and physical strength, when Buducnost and Győri Audi ETO KC clashes in the first semifinal of the TIPPMIX EHF FINAL 4 in Budapest. This is the third encounter in the history of Final 4 between the two giants, first two ended with Hungarian victory.

The first ten minutes was the period of solid defensive play on both sides, Győr had efficient players in Amorim, Görbicz, and Groot, meanwhile Buducnost was kept in the match only by Neagu and Bulatovic and the Romanian referees.

Grimsbö had some good saves in the Hungarian goal as her teammates were finding good solutions in attack from every position, but many weird decisions from the two referees were destroying to picture of the game and Buducnost managed to get closer, 9-11. In the last second of the match, Yvette Broch steals a ball and scores for 9-12 for the hosts.

The second half started with a nine minutes goal-silence from Buducnost side when Kari Aalvik Grimsbø saved every shot from the Montenegrins. Then Jaukovic and Bulatovic scored, 11-16, but Groot and Mørk netted also, 11-17 for Gyor.

Buducnost tried everything, Adzic called his second timeout also, but his team could not break through Gyor’s defensive wall, and on the opposite side of the court  Groot, Görbicz or Bódi were scoring the goals. ETO was leading 18-23 four minutes before the final whistle. Buducnost was helpless and Győr won the game 20 – 26.

Cristina Neagu and Katarina Bulatovic were the leaders of Montenegrins scoring thirteen goals together, meanwhile at Győr Anita  Görbicz netted nine times behind Buducnost’s keepers and the defense of Győr was unbreakable.
