Last year’s title holders CSM Bucuresti started the semifinal against Vardar with a lack of inspiration, without a working defense, zero goalkeeper performance and 1-7 for the opponent. Despite timeout from Per Johansson the play of Romanian team did not improve and Vardar led by Andrea Penezic, Camilla Herrem and Jovanka Radicevic, scoring a huge amount of goals in the first half managed to win the first thirty minutes with a comfortable 13-21 advantage.

The second half started with CSM Bucuresti reducing the gap to seven goals, but Vardar attacked again with their most efficient line and quickly restored the nine-goal advantage.

CSM Bucuresti tried to come closer, but Vardar had always enough power to keep the secure advantage on their side. Vardar defeated CSM Bucuresti and qualified for the first time to the final of EHF  Final 4, where they will meet tomorrow Győri Audi ETO KC.
