About the final

” It was a tough game and even if we had the lead almost all the time, Vardar was a great opponent, we could not lose our focus one single moment as they were chasing us closely. This was somehow useful as they god tired mentally of being led, which was a small advantage for us. Vardar has a great squad, deeper than ours, so they had the possibility to replace and rest players during the final, we did not but we fought together as a team and we showed once again our mental strength.

“I was not nervous, I had only a good feeling, little excitement before the match as I felt my team strong. It is maybe strange to say it but I was much more nervous before the semifinal and during the game against Buducnost yesterday as I knew that losing the semifinal means to not be able to fight for the trophy.

About being in Győr and winning the trophy

” This is my first season in Győr and I have already managed to win the Champions League, this was my dream, the main reason I transferred here. This a great team, but our season was not perfect at all, we had some ups and downs but we learned how to manage these situations and got solutions as a team. I have to mention the fans, they supported us in a way that I could have never imagine, this was the best game regarding the atmosphere, the support so far in my career. I have always dreamt about to be part of such a match when so many people who love handball cheers for us, for my team and can really feel that I get power and energy from the stands.

About her performance and her team

” I have another role here than I had in my previous teams, but the most important is to be able to help the team when is necessary. In the semifinal, scored only one goal, but today i felt that I have to take more responsibility (Mörk scored the winner goal in extra times, for Győr). I made a mistake also which could cost us the match, but in those moments you don’t stop and think about it, you have to go further and do your job.

“My team played as one, with a fantastic team spirit, everybody was helping each other and took the right decisions when we needed. We proved that we are working best when we are not playing individually but as a team. I am very proud, it was the coolest match of my life and the biggest of my handball career so far!!
