Bernadett Bódi arrived to Győr in the summer of 2013, between the two previous Champions League-victories of Győri Audi ETO KC. Since then, the right wing has gone through a long injury last season, and scored important goals in the Champions League-final against Vardar, just like 3 years ago in the final against Buducnost.

About the difference between the final in 2014 and 2017:
“This was a different team, a different opponent and different circumstances, we can’t compare them. I am really happy about our victory – we put a lot of work into it and I am happy it paid off.

Many people forget that this is a sport and we are humans too, so we will make mistakes. But this is not important – it is important to play as a team and help each other in every situation, especially in the hard moments. I think we were a lot stronger mentally than last year.”

About Vardar having the mental advantage in the beginning of the extra time:
“We put everything we had on court, our extra energies, we started very well in the first five minutes of the extra time with three goals.”

About the importance of wings like in 2014:
“I am very happy we (the wings) could help the team. It is difficult to stand in the corner all the time, we are players that are mostly finishing the actions, and we have to perform our best when we get the chance, but of course there are mistakes in these times too. Vardar didn’t have many fast break goals even with wings like Herrem or Radicevic, I think this is a great achievement from us. I have had a tough season, I didn’t really have time to rest after my injury last season, so I am looking forward to take a little break, especially mentally. I can’t wait to party now.”
