Germany 2017: Pots ready for the draw

The International Handball Federation has published the seeding and the pots for the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2017 drawing ceremony. The groups will be drawn on 27 June at 14:00 in Hamburg, Germany. The hosts and the teams of Pot 1 were already put to their respective groups. Six German cities will give home for the tournament: the group matches will be in Trier, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Leipzig and Oldenburg, Magdeburg and Leipzig will host the 1/8 and 1/4 finals while the final weekend will be in Hamburg.

The pots:
Pot 1: Norway, Netherlands, France, Denmark
Pot 2: Romania, Germany, Russia, Sweden
Pot 3: Serbia, Czech Republic, Spain, Brazil
Pot 4: Hungary, Montenegro, Slovenia, South Korea
Pot 5: Angola, Japan, Argentina, China
Pot 6: Paraguay, Tunisia, Cameroon, Poland

The groups:
Group A (Trier): France
Group B (Bietigheim-Bissingen): Norway
Group C (Oldenburg): Denmark
Group D (Leipzig): Netherlands, Germany
