Kristiansand: Champions League qualification Group 1

The Champions League has started this weekend with the qualification tournaments in order to decide the two free places in Group C and D.

In Kristiansand, Vipers  Kristiansand hosts the tournament where the participants are HC Podravka Vegeta (Croatia), Kastamonu Belediyesi GSK (Turkey), HC Gomel (Belarus).

Results of the semifinals:

Vipers Kristiansand –  HC Gomel 43 – 19 (27 – 10)

Topscorers: Linn Jørum Sulland(Vipers) 8 goals and Marija Agbaba (Gomel) 5 goals

The hosts simply made a goal-show and used the semifinal as a good workout before the final tomorrow.

HC Podravka Vegeta – Kastamonu Belediyesi GSK 21 – 17 (11 – 11)

Topscorers: Ekatarina Nemaskalo (Podravka) 7 goals and Kristina Elez (Kastamonu) 9 goals

Podravka and Kastamonu had a real fight as the match was very close and the Croatian champions managed to increase the lead in the last ten minutes to three goals and won the game at the end. Kristina Elez and Ekatarina Nemaskalo become the best players of the match.
