Larvik HK was not the favorite of this encounter against Vardar in Macedonia, but the Norwegian team made a very good defensive play in the first half, with a well-organized defense and a good goalkeeper performance from Guro Rundbråten, meanwhile, Vardar seemed to struggle in the attack against Larvik HK. Andrea Lekic was not playing, the playmaker role was taken over by Tatjana Khmirova, Andrea Penezic and Jovanka Radicevic were efficient as always, but the host did not manage to win the first half. 10-11 for Larvik.
The second half was similar to the first, at least in the first ten minutes, when young Larvik-team still had very good solutions against Vardar and Kristine Bresitøl, Mathile Rivas Toft or Martine Wolf made a good game. On the other side, Andrea Penezic was unstoppable and Amandine Leynaud made some lifesavers in the goal. Larvik still hade a hope and a chance at 26-25 to level the game, but at the end, the powerhouse of Vardar kept home the two points, Larvik stays still pointless.
