Slovenia started the match better, taking a lead 1-6, and opening the game as well as they did yesterday against France. Romanians had problems in defense, could not stop the line player to get balls, but Ana Gros caused also troubles to them, 6-11 after 22 minutes of play. When Ambros Martin changed the defense system to a 5+1, with Elisei in front, Slovenian fluency seemed to be interrupted and Romania managed to reduce the gap, 10-12 (22.minute). The first half ended 14-14 and the trend seemed to change against Slovenia.
In the second half Romanian team took the lead, 17-15, 24-22 (47.minute). Cristina Neagu is the leader of her team, but Buceschi and Pintea also contribute essentially to this turnover. Slovenia leveled the game one more time at 25-25, but Romania had already the control of the game and took back the lead 28-27, 29-27. Slovenia tried with time-out but had no more chances against Romania, where the team made an excellent job. Final result: 31-28
