Both Serbia and Sweden started their EHF EURO 2018 campaign with a defeat: Serbia was defeated by hosts Croatia while Sweden lost to Iceland in the opening round on Friday. In the second round, Sweden managed to collect the first victory in the tournament. The Scandinavians were controlling the game the whole time, they were leading by 6 goals after the first half (10-16). Even though Serbia came back into the game in the middle of the second half, some crucial Serbian mistakes were punished hard by the Swedish team and no questions were left for the final minutes of the game (25-30).
