In this edition of the Women’s EHF Champions League, Vardar is the only undefeated team in the competition. The Macedonians travelled to Germany to face SG BBM Bietigheim and they had every chance on their side to keep their clean sheet. Vardar started better but the first half brought an even game as both teams had times when they were ahead of their opponent. In the last 10 minutes of the first half, Vardar turned to a higher speed (11-16) but until the final whistle, Bietigheim came back into sight (14-16). In the beginning of the second half, Vardar was more focused and increased the difference. Bietigheim had no chance any more to come back into the game as the difference kept growing between the two sides. The German champions named only 12 players for the match and in the last quarter of the game, they seemed to run out of fuel as Vardar took the difference over 10 goals (20-30). In the last 10 minutes, Bietigheim even lost the chance to stay under 10 goals – Vardar won by 12 (26-38).
