Main Round, Group I.

In the last match of the second round of the Main Round, Győri Audi ETO KC hosted the Danish champions from Nyköbing Falster. Both teams suffered clear defeats in the previous round, Győr was defeated by CSM Bucuresti in Romania, meanwhile, NFH was won on their own home court by Rostov Don. Győr is still missing Eduarda Amorim and Anja Althaus, both injured.

The start of the match showed a more organized Hungarian defense and a good, fluent offensive play, where Grimsbø was clearly back in business and Nycke Groot in the attack was also the old herself. Győr was leading 6-2, 7-4, but in the middle of the first half, NFH managed to fight back and level the game at 8-8, after a Danish time-out and some replacements for the hosts. Győr managed to reorganize quickly and took back the lead 10thenthan 13-9. Halftime result: 14-9.

In the second half, NFH managed to stay close to Győr, 21-17, but Oftedal, Mörk, and Groot were unstoppable in attack, 23-18. Then in the 47 minutes of the match when Győr was on a fastbreak, Nora Mörk scored and she landed somehow wrong after the goal, and she remained on the floor in deep pain holding her right knee. She was transported from the court by medical personnel and right to the hospital for a detailed medical check. The entire AUDI Arena was silent for some seconds, fearing a serious injury.

After this episode, Győr mobilized their energies and scored more goals from wings, line player, the Danish goalkeeper, Cecilie Greve could not stop any shoots, hosts winning the game with a nine-goal difference.
