THC opened with 0-5, 1-6 on the home court of Bietigheim and the team of Herbert Muller managed to keep this advantage during the entire first half, leading 7-15 and finishing 13 – 17. In the second half Thuringer continued at the same pace, Bietigheim got more tired, as they did not have a wide squad, so guests won the match comfortably. Despite this victory, THC has only mathematical chances for reaching the quarterfinals.
