Rostov-Don are the only team in the FINAL4 that hasn’t taken part in any FINAL4 before, but despite this fact, the Russians can’t be called inexperienced. For example, Katarina Bulatovic has won four Champions League trophies before. TimeOut Magazine talked to the experienced Montenegrin right back.
Katarina Bulatovic: All teams have the same chances, and I really hope we can play well tomorrow. Vardar has had very good matches throughout the season and it is very exciting for us to play against them. We have only 4 players in our team that have some FINAL4 experience, but there are many that have won Olympic Games or world championship – we need to mix this experience of the players. We were the first team to arrive to Budapest because it is very difficult to travel from Russia, so we needed more time to rest and recover after the trip. If I had to pick a winner for the weekend, I would say Vardar because they played in the final last season and they have the most complete team. But of course we will do our best and tomorrow we will see if it will be enough or not. While Vardar has no decent league to play in Macedonia, we won the Russian league and it takes a lot of pressure off our shoulders. But of course from the time I spent in Buducnost, I know how hard it can be for Vardar to find alternatives to prepare for a FINAL4 without a proper league. I am sure they will do everything to finish this story of Vardar in a happy way, but we will give them a tough time, that is for sure.
